Written by the legendary duo Philadelphia's own Gamble & Huff, sung by one of Philly's the The O'Jays, tha's where the similarities end as this is a much more uptempo version, made for the masses with a relentless groove that never let's up, great harmonies too which gave this Rastafarian group a major worldwide hit

The light to this hazy world is You. Love over hate. Hugs over anger. Creativity over boredom. Peace over war. Compromise over fights. But music and silence are equal. Inner happiness is the highest gift we can achieve. In fact it's not even an achievement because we all are born with it. You just got to unwrap it from the nice paper, it's like candy. :)
Leonard Boyles
I remember the first time I heard this song was at a party in Harlem on St Nick's,and the party was so packed that they put a couple of speakers on the fire escapes, and people were partying on the roof, at this time reggae was not very popular with American Blacks, and this song opened the door for all of the rest of reggae artists into American Black mainstream music. That's when the police had to come, and shut down the party at 6:00am. LOL

This song should carry a health warning. You just _have_ to bop til you drop, and 7 minutes of that is a long time for a 50+ year old heart, especially if you add alcohol! :)
